Willow Run Athletics
Flyer LogoAthletics are an integral part of the school's total educational program. A competitive sports program gives every student the opportunity to participate in middle and high school athletics and to learn the value of teamwork, fair play, sportsmanship, discipline and determination. Participation in athletics provides the opportunity for developing life time skills that will allow students to become well-rounded individuals capable of making decisions and handling challenging situations. Participation is strongly encouraged for all students regardless of experience level.

All students must have a completed physical on file to practice or participate in with any team. Any student who had a physical on or before April 15, 2008, must have a new one completed for the upcoming school year.

The athletic office will be closed from June 16-August 5, 2008.

Congratulations! To the middle school girls basketball teams. They had a great season this year, I am looking forward to see them play next year at Willow Run.

Kia LawsonA special shout out to Keya Lawson, this young lady has a 3 point shot that will make you get up and shout! During the teams last game against Romulus Kia made 3-3 point shots that kept the Jets game close against Romulus. For the first time in a while Romulus had something to be nervous about. The previous game against Romulus didn't end well for the Jets but this time they showed them what a WR Jet is made of. Although we loss to Romulus by 1 point, this had to be the most exciting game of the season. All the players brought their A game to the court, congratulations on a great season.
